Ad van Hassel was born on April 26, 1953 in Roosendaal.
In 1980 he started painting.
After years of creative wanderings, he started two exclusive galleries in Amsterdam's Sonesta and Krasnapolsky hotels in 1983.
He is best known for his tulip paintings.
In 1990 Van Hassel devoted himself to making screen prints of his paintings.
He achieved such a good quality that soon other artists also had their work printed by him.
For 12 years he was the house printer of Herman Brood, Corneille, Jan Cremer, Rob Scholte, Shunyam, Peter Diem and many other artists.
